What is cavity wall insulation?
Cavity wall insulation is a very common form of insulation, where a special insulating material is injected in between the outer and inner walls of a building.
Since the 1980s it has been standard to include cavity insulation in all new build properties, but houses built before then may have large sections of exterior wall that are uninsulated or only partially insulated. This can mean a lot of heat escapes through the walls of your house, your home is often cold and you end up spending more on your energy bills.
To install cavity wall insulation, the insulation material is injected into the wall cavity from the outside. This means there is only minimal disruption caused – there is no need to go through the interior walls and no dust and mess is created in your home.
Party Cavity Wall
If your home is terraced or semi detached and was built after 1950, you will probably have a party wall with a cavity. You can now have this cavity insulated, saving money and sound proofing your adjoining wall(s).
How much does it cost?
Here at 0800 Repair Gas, we try to keep our pricing as fair and flexible as possible. For this reason, we have different options available, such as a pay monthly option. For those who are eligible, the government provides funding for cavity wall insulation through its ECO scheme.
Spread the overall cost as a manageable monthly fee.
If you are eligible, you receive a grant for your wall insulation.
You pay an initial deposit, and the rest after installation.

Insulation Includes Premium ThermaBead Carbon Saver Material
We use a bonded bead insulation material called ThermaBead Carbon Saver. This modern, innovative material is perfect for insulating homes. It consists of oil-based, waterproof polystyrene beads that are bonded together with a special glue and injected into your wall cavity.
This results in a solid insulation material that also contains gaps to allow any moisture to drain down to the ground so it is not transferred into the walls. The material is perfectly designed to insulate your home whilst preventing damp.
The bonded beads are of to 20% more efficient than traditional fibre insulation – you can earn back any money you spend in 4 years thanks to your new, much lower energy bills! The material is fire safe, BBA approved and fully durable.
Get in touch with us via our contact page or by calling 0800 114 3308 to arrange a time for us to come and survey your property.
One of our insulation experts will come and assess your property to check it is suitable for cavity wall insulation and, if so, arrange an installation date.
At a time that’s convenient for you, we will come round to install your insulation, carefully repairing drill holes afterwards.
